pedar®

the gold standard for measuring pressure distribution.

in-shoe pressure distribution measurement

The pedar® system is an accurate and reliable pressure distribution measuring system for monitoring local loads between the foot and the shoe. It offers the ultimate versatility with its multiple standard features and operating modes.

The pedar® now utilizes the plidar® electronics, which transmits the pressure data via Wi-Fi to the computer, or can store up to 64 GB of data on-board, in only 54 g of pure efficiency.

All of these features make the plidar® system extremely mobile and flexible to meet virtually all testing needs such as walking, running, climbing stairs, carrying loads, playing soccer, riding a bicycle and so much more. Therefore, the results are more applicable to real life scenarios.

The plidar® electronics connects to conforming, elastic sensor insoles that cover the entire plantar surface of the foot or sensor pads for the dorsal, medial or lateral areas of the foot.

All pedar® insoles are individually calibrated with the aid of the trublu® calibration device.

calibration machine used to ensure perfect calibration

The Scientific Studio software provides real-time feedback for peak pressure, force and area within footwear. Flexibility in display of the real-time pressure pictures and graphs makes the software an ideal tool for clinical, research, or education. Automatic storage of the data gives the user the ability to review previous data collections quickly and easily.

plidar system on a subject

With the E-Expert package users can have access to the raw pressure and force data for use in their own analysis programs. Alternatively, the pedar® data can be analyzed for CoP and step analysis. The L-Lab system package includes the trublu® calibration device.
